Alexis began martial arts with judo when he was 6 years old and then moved to wado-ruy karate. After getting his black belt in karate he then trained many different martial arts, learning as much as he could.

He discovered brazilian jiu-jitsu in 1995. Living in a small city, with no academies or training partners, he began to learn on his own, using instructional tapes and travelling to do as many seminars as possible.

He moved to Paris to work in 2003 and was able to start training in a real academy. He is now a black belt under Paulo Sergio Santos and teaches and trains at the Club Daumesnil (Alliance BJJ France) in Paris.
Alexis is also responsible for much of design and administration of the website.
